To get to Heaven, let life floor you. Life is guaranteed to do just that, to let you down – all the way into the Safety Net that will never let you down. Life is guaranteed to disappoint. But expect nothing of the Nothing that underscores life, and it cannot disappoint. Also expect everything of it, and again it cannot disappoint. It’s being so mock-modest in our demands on life, expecting something of it – this or that particular rose, and with no thorns attached, at that – which is the stress-maker, and prevents our enjoyment of the rose-garden. Happiness and bliss are synonymous.  It has absolutely nothing to do with the world in which we live.
In this world all kinds of things happen and we believe we have to live a certain kind of life to be happy.
We believe we have to have certain kinds of possessions to be happy.  It’s all false.
It is the happiness that will bring the good to you.  It’s the opposite. It is the reverse.
In other words if you want to be happy; happiness is the same as abundance, health, joy peace, harmony.
These things come to you as a result of your happiness.  It is the other way around.
I’m saying too you be happy first, and the other things will come to you, on its own volition.  Ponder this.
 Robert Adams

“Have you seen the mind, really? It ‘s a ghost. It doesn’t really exist. As soon as you desire something, this ghost of a mind arises. If you desire anything, then this ghost of the mind will trouble you. Get rid of desire, and where is the mind?

Where there is desire, there is trouble. You can live very well without the mind. Without the mind, you are wise; with the mind, you are stupid. Desire nothing and you are emperor of this kingdom. You are peace, beauty, and love. Reject the mind for some time and see.

In the evening you go on the road; you see a snake and you are afraid. You pick up a stick and you beat it. It doesn’t move and you see it is a rope. Fear is gone and you throw away the stick.

If you address the mind with “Who are you?” it will disappear. Look at the snake of the mind and discover if it is real. Thoughts are impediments to seeing your own face. Don’t give rise to any thought, and discover who you are.”

Papaji Wake Up and Roar by HWL Poonja

“…For Consciousness is the common principle of all experience, present at all times and everywhere, no matter what experience is known, no matter when or where.

So Consciousness cannot appear or disappear. Its appearance would require a previous experience where consciousness was absent. Similarly, its disappearance would require a subsequent experience without consciousness. Such an ‘experience without consciousness’ is a contradiction in terms – falsity of fiction that has been misleading constructed by the mind. So while appearance are perceived by body, sense and mind, their seemingly limitations don’t apply to consciousness, their one reality.

The limitations are a misperception, seen through the inadequate and partial reporting of body, sense and mind. The unreal limitations make it seem that there are appearances which disappear. But while they seem to come and go, what they are is consciousness itself. It is their unlimited reality, remaining fully present through each one of their appearances and disappearances.

That is a classical Advaita position, which his unequivocally taken by modern interpreters like Ramana Maharshi and Shri Atmananda. From that position, deep sleep is interpreted as an experience where consciousness is shown as its own content. Deep sleep shows consciousness identical with what it contains, with what is known in it. What’s there revealed is not contentless consciousness, but consciousness itself.”

Excerpt from Some Teachings from Shri Atmananda (Krishna Melon) as reported by Sadhaka Disciple.

“II  Atma is the immutable Consciousness that, without effort or any change in Itself, perceives such modifications of the mind.

III  A little thinking will show that this is the principle signified by the word “I”.”

“…The gist of this verse is that the witness’s knowledge, unlike the mind’s, is unattached by change and effort. The sun shines in its own glory. Light is the sun’s very nature or being, not its function. Nor has it any idea to illuminate objects. But living beings perceive objects by the light of the sun. This makes them superimpose upon the sun the function of illuminating objects. In the same way thoughts and objects reveal themselves in consciousness. When the function of revealing is superimposed upon consciousness, it becomes the witness. As a matter of fact, consciousness shines of itself. Light or revelation is its very nature, not its function or property. It is this truth that is set forth in the above verses. When one attains to that higher witness aspect, one will come to realise that it is pure consciousness without even a tinge of witness hood.”

Excerpt from Atma Darshan, Sri Krishna Melon

“…any characteristic you come up with that seems to distinguish one  “centre of  experience” from another will be a physical characteristic. Here/there, right/left, this side of the room/that side of the room. Any dividing line is based on physical properties such as line, extension, shape, contiguity to other shapes.

Yet any shape or line is merely the interface between two colours, which are nothing more than ideas. This is the same for any characteristic. Shapes are nothing other than ideas. Not just visually but even felt shapes like the shape of an arm or coffee cup are ideas. The shape is not apart from the feeling of the shape, and the feeling is not apart from  the awareness of the feeling. It’s all awareness, all the time. This is how there are no separate physical objects. So how can there be separate experiencers?”

“Be quiet. See the mind as it is. Grace action starts. Then Peace occupies your Heart. Then be still. The Grace of Self burns all your tendencies. No question or any practice is needed. You already reached the destination. That is the Source of thought. If you lose your Awareness, immediately sleep, deep sleep or thought will come. Stop just for a few seconds, see the covering, and immediately Awareness will come. Then if you question, ‘To Whom?’, and wait, the question and thought will vanish. Again we will get Peace. Then be quiet and still.

While you are in Peace, see the experiencer of that Peace or question, ‘Who is that experiencer?’. The experiencer will disappear. But it rises again and again. As and when it rises, see it with Peace and Awareness or question, ‘Who Am I?’, until it burns. When the seer or the experiencer or the questioner burns permanently – that is Jeevanmukti (Self Realization). ”

V. V. Brahmam

Feel the Presence within yourself.
Feel the happiness and the joy that you really are.
Feel it! You can feel it.

No matter how many so-called problems
you may appear to have,
no matter what is going on in your life, good or bad,
forget about that. It doesn’t matter.
Feel the Presence. Do not think about it – just feel it.
When you begin to think about it, you spoil it.

Allow the mind to rave on.
Do not pay a bit of attention to the mind,
whatever thoughts it brings you, whatever it tells you.
Pay no attention whatsoever to the mind.
Feel the bliss. You ARE the bliss.
There is absolutely nothing that you need
or have to become.

Do not search for enlightenment or liberation.
You’ll never find it.  There’s nowhere to look for it.
When you look with your senses, where is liberation?
Where’s freedom?
It doesn’t exist.
When you go beyond the senses,
when you pay no attention to the senses
and you go beyond them
by observing them, looking at them,
and not reacting to them,
then you find that you’ve always been in bliss.

Bliss happiness is your very nature.
You are That.

Words of Robert Adams, Silence of the Heart

At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.
If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.
Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes.  Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow.
Let reality be reality.  Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.
Rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives  you courage.
Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving creates love.
Respond intelligently even to unintelligent treatment.
The words of truth are always paradoxical.
Truthful words are not beautiful; beautiful words are not truthful.
Good words are not persuasive; persuasive words are not good.
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.

(Sadhana)

Everyone here is Absolute Reality, Pure Awareness,
This is your real nature.
Right now, not some time in the future.
Not when you get enlightened.
Not when you search for the answers.
But right this moment. This is what you are.

Why will you not accept it?
When you think about yourself, do you think
you’re a punny human
that has to struggle for existence and fight for survival?
As long as you believe this, that’s what it’s going
to be for you.
But as soon as you accept the truth about yourself,
that you are a delight, Divine Sat-Chit-Ananda,
You will be free.
You simply have to accept this.

There are no rituals you have to go through.
There are no prayers you have to chant.
You simply have to awaken to your true nature,
Pure Awareness,
Nirvana,
Bliss,
Consciousness.
This is what you are right at this moment.
